You will need to bring PASTELS and a KNEADED ERASER to class.

Complementary Colors

Warm vs. Cool Colors

For this class, I will ask you NOT to blend the pastels. Let them exist next to, or overlapping on top of each other. Blending is normally ok. I just want you to see the effect of strong pastel marks and the combined effects of adjoining colors.

COOL colors will act as your shadows.
WARM colors will act as your light areas.

COOL ------- WARM
blue ------- orange
purple ----- yellow
green ------ red
