14" x 17" pad of THICK drawing paper
This must be a good general purpose paper with some "tooth" to it.
It canNOT be smooth paper.
It should be 60 lbs. paper or more.
It should be SPIRAL BOUND
You will need 100 sheets throughout the course of the semester.
Ebony Pencils
Get at least 2 to start.
You might need more during the semester.
Be prepared to ALWAYS have this pencil with you.
Pencil Sharpener
You must get your own pencil sharpener.
We have one in class, but it constantly breaking.
White Vinyl Eraser or a Pink Pearl Eraser
and you must also have one Kneaded Eraser
box of soft pastels
You only have to get the box of 12, but are free to get one with more colors if you prefer.
Please note that soft pastels are not the same as oil pastels.
Gel Pen
sometimes referred to as a "Gelly Roll" pen.
you need to get a medium tip or thicker, and be sure to get a dark color.
You only need one pen, but you may hae more than one color if you prefer.
Similar ink is available in office supply stores, although they are more expensive.
